IOAI 2026 - Day 1
The first day of the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence consisted of three tasks that extended the tasks from the at-home round (during which participants had a month to study these topics in depth). The contest lasted 6 hours. Each participant had access to one virtual machine with an H100 GPU shared among seven people. Its speed was comparable to that of a T4 GPU, but the task time limits were slightly increased to accurately reflect the conditions at the IOAI. Participants had access to the documentation for all available libraries. The available language model was Gemma 3 27B, but it was limited to just one message per conversation (it was not possible to continue a conversation after the model responded - instead, participants had to start a new conversation) and to 1000 tokens (approximately 2000 characters) per conversation (including both the question and the model's response tokens).
